About

Tuft Little Creations

Tuft Little Creations is a Pittsburgh-based creative arts studio where art, emotional wellness, and craftmanship intersect.

Founded by artist and educator Kiarra Little, Tuft Little Creations was created from a simple, but powerful belief:

Creativity helps people heal, learn, and grow.

What began as a passion for fiber arts evolved into a multidisciplinary practice that uses creation as a tool for self-expression, decision-making, confidence building, and emotional regulation, while also producing handcrafted goods and immersive creative experiences that help support our vision.

Meet Our Team

The Heart Behind Every Stitch

At Tuft Little Creations, our team is made up of passionate educators, artists, and community advocates who believe in the power of fiber arts to inspire, heal, and transform. Every lesson, every workshop, every stitich is infused with the care, creativity, and experience our team brings to the table. . . and the loom.

Kiarra Little | Founder, Creative Director, & Lead Teaching Artist

I’m Kiarra Little, a multidisciplinary artist, educator, professional school counselor and the founder of Tuft Little Creations. My journey began with a deep belief in the power of creative expression to heal, empower, and transform. Blending my background in education, design, and emotional wellness, I created Tuft Little Creations to be more than a business, it’s a space where art meets intention.

Through therapeutic fiber arts programs, I help young people explore their creativity while building emotional resilience. And through handmade goods, I help others tell their stories through textures, color, and craftsmanship.

Whether working with a child learning to tuft their first piece or innovating textile design crafted for curated interiors, I bring the same care, detail, and purpose to every stitch. My work is rooted in the belief that fiber arts can shape how we feel, and how we live.

Our Philosophy: G.L.O.W. to G.R.O.W.

At the heart of our work is the philosophy:

GLOW to GROW — Generations Learning Our World to Generations Running Our World.

We believe creativity is more than artmaking.
It is how individuals learn patience, problem-solving, resilience, and identity.

Through the rug-making process and therapeutic textile exploration, participants experience:

  • Learning through hands-on discovery

  • Ownership over creative decisions

  • Emotional processing through tactile engagement

  • Pride in completing meaningful work

Every thread represents progress.
Every project represents growth.

Every loop, tuft, and stitch is an invitation — to create boldly, connect deeply, and empower from the inside out.

Our Vision

We envision communities where creativity is recognized as essential infrastructure for learning and well-being. Through education, design, and collaborative art experiences, Tuft Little Creations aims to build spaces where:

  • young people discover their voice,

  • communities create together,

  • and creativity becomes a lifelong tool for growth.

Because when creativity is nurtured today, future generations are prepared to lead tomorrow.

Why Fiber Arts?

Fiber art slows the world down.

The rhythmic motion of tufting, threading, cutting, and shaping activates focus, patience, and calm — allowing creators to reconnect with themselves while building something tangible.

In a fast-paced digital world, we create opportunities to work with our hands, think with intention, and grow through process.

Our Core Values

Creativity

We use art as a tool for transformation, expression, and discovery in every rug and every workshop.

Empowerment

We help individuals build confidence, emotional resilience, and pride in their creative voice.

Craftmanship

We use art as a tool for transformation, expression, and discovery in every rug and every workshop.

Wellness

Our therapeutic programs are rooted in mindfulness, self-awareness, and emotional support.

Community

We foster connection, inclusion, and collaboration through art and education.
